David Letterman’s (or my) Top 5 reasons to stay in San Francisco
As everyone (in San Francisco, or previously in San Francisco) is telling me that I should stay in San Francisco, here are my top 5 reasons to stay in San Francisco
Number 5. Good political environment. I can accomodate with Schwarzie, certainly not with Bush, don’t know yet for McCain, but Obama’s program is clearly the best one for America I think (but I’m not an American citizen so can it be biased). Seen 2 debates (including VPs ones) during my trip
. Actually the only thing I saw on TV
Number 4. Lodging seems to be a problem in SFO, especially with (noise) isolation. As I don’t want to stop DJing, one of my main hobbies, I’d have to get DJ residencies at least twice a month in the city. As I’m rather into Berlin/Detroit underground electronic and California is into mainstream/commercial dance/trance music, that doesn’t seem easy.
Number 3. Not taking anyone else’s job.
Number 2. Good economical environment (I mean personal, how selfish I am
). Lodging and car paid (not necessarily a Prius even if I’d love to :p), keeping France salary, EUR, I know that USD is raising right now but I don’t care as my charges are in Euro) and 25 days off, 1 two-way travel to France included per 6-month period
Number 1. Having top-notch projects to work on (and not only contribution/education/small scale ones: I mean IPTV, Mobile TV)
So, I think that would be very difficult right now with many dependencies that one cannot control
Still in France for quite some time I think
San Francisco trip post and photos to come…
